About Us
Our Story
Founded by Miguel Garcia Larios in the heart of Los Angeles, California, RCNSTRCT studio was born from a belief that fashion doesn't have to come at the planet's expense. Our mission centers around the sustainable up-cycling of vintage and deadstock goods — giving forgotten materials a bold new life.
The Melrose Ave Studio
You'll find us at 7400 Melrose Ave, right in the creative pulse of LA. Our studio is more than a store — it's a workshop, a gallery, and a community space where every piece on the rack has a story. Stop by and see the process firsthand.
How We Make It
Every RCNSTRCT piece starts with sourcing — hunting through vintage markets, deadstock warehouses, and surplus fabric runs for materials with character. From there, our hands do the work: cutting, reconstructing, and finishing each item by hand in Los Angeles. No mass production. Just craft.
One of a Kind. Every Time.
Because we work with repurposed and deadstock materials, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. What you pick up in the studio — or add to your cart online — is yours alone. We call this the Random Selection: the understanding that your piece is unique by design, not by accident.
Why Sustainability Matters to Us
The fashion industry is one of the world's largest polluters. At RCNSTRCT, we're not interested in adding to that. By working exclusively with upcycled vintage and deadstock materials, we keep textiles out of landfills and reduce the demand for new resource extraction. Every purchase is a vote for a different kind of fashion.
